Girls Night in Galentine’s Day Bash.
To me, Valentine’s Day is all about all types of love. It’s about celebrating the love that’s around us everywhere – from our family and friends to even taking some time to love yourself and indulge in a little treat yourself moment. Regardless of your relationship status it’s pretty likely that you have some kick ass women in your life, so why not throw a little Galentine’s Day bash to celebrate them this weekend?
With my friends, wine is a staple for every gathering (because, wine not?) – I’m a huge fan of Cultivar Wine and always have a few bottles on hand for impromptu gatherings or hostess gifts. Their Cabernet and Cabernet Franc are among my favorite reds ever and it’s always so fun to introduce new friends to their wines.
I’m a firm believer that a great glass of wine goes well with anything so grab a few of your favorite sweet treats and keep things simple with a big bowl of popcorn and a chick flick as the perfect background for conversation and catch up. Indulge your sweet tooth by asking your gals to bring a bag of their favorite Valentine’s Day candy and create a little buffet of everyone’s faves (mine’s Hershey’s Hugs!). Grab a few pints of Halo Top ice cream and let your girls create their own personal sundaes – each pint only has between 240 and 280 calories so there’s zero guilt in finishing the entire thing in one sitting ;) Plus they’re packed with protein so even your fittest of friends can feel good about celebrating on a sweet note!
What better excuse for a little pampering than a girls night in? Create a manis and masks station for your girls to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit with pink and red polishes, while nourishing their skin with a few face mask options. Yes To has some of my current favorites – their Grapefruit Sheet Mask is the ultimate brightener, while the Tomato Charcoal mask fights breakouts and the Coconut mask moisturizes winter skin like woah.
For decor, feel free to go a little overboard in the decorating department – think pink, reds and hearts galore! I picked up some Valentine’s Day card crafting items and turned ‘em into a festive backdrop for the treats table with the help of some painter’s tape on the back (and it would also make for an adorable photo booth!)
Let’s hear it for the laaaaadies this Valentine’s Day and cheers to the friendships and wonderful women in our lives!
